The Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA), may appoint the Vice Chairman, Kareem Azeez Abiodun, as the Acting Chairman following the death of the Chairman, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa.
It was learnt that the announcement would be made later today (Monday) by the legislative, executive, and management teams of the LCDA.
The decision was aimed to ensure uninterrupted administrative operations and adherence to constitutional guidelines.
When appointed as Acting Chairman, Abiodun would oversee the dignified burial arrangements for the late Chairman and provide updates on the status of the LCDA.
It would be recalled that Asafa died on Sunday after a prolonged illness, creating leadership vacuum in the Council.
