The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has paid the Super Eagles their share of the prize money earned at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
Nigeria finished third at the tournament after defeating Egypt on penalties in the third-place match.
Following their semi-final run, the Super Eagles secured $2.5 million in prize money, with the eventual winners receiving a record $10 million. The NFF had earlier agreed to allocate 30 percent of the team’s earnings to the players.
It was gathered that each player in the squad received $15,000 as their share of the prize money.
“The team has received their agreed share of the prize money,” a top official confirmed.
