All is set for the inauguration of the newly elected Chairmen across all Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Lagos State.
The ceremony scheduled to hold on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Lagos House, Governor’s Office, Alausa, Ikeja, would begin by 12:00 noon.
The swearing in marks a significant step in the continued effort of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration to strengthen grassroots governance and consolidate democratic leadership at the local level.
After the ceremony, the newly elected Chairmen are expected to assume their duties immediately.
It would be recalled that the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) last week presented Certificate of Return to the winners of the July 12 Council elections .
The governing All Progressives Congress (APC) won all the Chairmanship seats and 375 Councillorship seats, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won only one councillorship seat.
