LASUBEB Rewards Dedicated Staff With Awards

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has honoured teaching and non-teaching staff with Long Service Awards in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the development of basic education in the state.

The award ceremony, held at the LASUBEB Multi-Purpose Hall, brought together the Board’s management, staff, award recipients and other stakeholders to celebrate employees who have demonstrated professionalism and commitment throughout their years of service.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of LASUBEB, Dr Hakeem Babatunde Shittu, commended the awardees for their sacrifices and contributions to strengthening the state’s basic education system.

Shittu urged the recipients to prioritise their health and well-being as they enter the next phase of their lives. He also encouraged them to embrace responsible financial planning, forgiveness and a positive outlook.

Also speaking, the Board Member in charge of Teachers’ Establishment, Hon. Babatunde Williams, described the teaching and non-teaching workforce as essential to the effective functioning of the education system.

He urged the awardees to remain worthy ambassadors of the Board and uphold the values of excellence, professionalism and service.

Responding on behalf of the recipients, the Board Secretary, Mr Hakeem Lamidi, who was also among the awardees, thanked the Board for recognising their years of dedication and loyalty.

The ceremony featured the presentation of awards to staff who had attained various milestones in their years of service, in recognition of their contributions to the development of basic education in Lagos State.
