Edo First Lady’s Office Calls For Rural Mobilisation Ahead Of 2027

The Coordinator, Office of the Edo State First Lady, Mrs Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has called for intensified rural mobilisation to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
She made the call when members of the “Tinubu Again 2027” Group visited the Government House in Benin City.
Mrs Anani said her office would work with the group to reach rural communities with information on the President’s achievements and 2027–2031 agenda.
She stressed the importance of women’s participation, publicising government programmes and sustaining voter registration.
The group’s Convener, Prince Tony Omoaghe, requested that Anani serve as its Matron and reaffirmed its commitment to helping Governor Monday Okpebholo deliver 2.5 million votes for President Tinubu from Edo State.
Former Edo Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bright Omokhodion, described the group as experienced individuals committed to continuity in governance.
The visit ended with a call for stronger collaboration among government, civil society and communities ahead of the 2027 elections.
