Coach Busari Names 26 For Flamingos’ Morocco World Cup Camp

 

Head Coach Hakeem Busari has invited 26 players to the camp of Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, as preparations begin for this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, scheduled for October 17 to November 7.

The Flamingos defeated their counterparts from Benin Republic home and away in the final round of the African qualifying campaign to secure their place at the global finals.

Since the tournament was launched in New Zealand in 2008, Nigeria have missed only one edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup—the 2018 finals in Uruguay.

All invited players have been directed to report to the Serob Legacy Hotel, Wuye, Abuja, on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Defenders:
Elizabeth Adesuyi (Pacesetter Queens); Esther Stephen (Unification Ladies); Chidera Oparanmegwa (Bayelsa Queens); Azeezat Oduntan (Robo Queens); Opeyemi Sunday (Nasarawa Amazons); Omelogu Precious (Tophat SC); Christiana Ogunbunmi (Soccer Talent FC); Taiwo Abdulazeez (Dannaz Ladies).

Midfielders:
