Members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Congress have welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive for comprehensive reforms in Nigerian football.
At a meeting in Abuja, they thanked the President for his support and funding, saying the sport needs a “hard reset” to improve governance, transparency, accountability, stakeholder representation and domestic competitions.
A delegation representing key football constituencies later met with National Sports Commission Chairman Shehu Dikko, who briefed them on the reform agenda, sports infrastructure, funding and the RHINSE framework.
The Congress pledged its full support for the process, pending engagements among the NSC, FIFA and CAF.
It said football is a national asset and urged stakeholders to put aside personal interests and support reforms aimed at restoring stability and achieving lasting success.
