PDP Dissolves Ward, LG, State Executives In Osun

The Turaki led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee has dissolved the executive committees of the Osun State Chapter.
The party also dissolve the Local Government and Ward executive committees of the state.
The dissolution was announced on Thursday in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong.
PDP said the decision was made after careful deliberations and extensive consultations.
The party announced Hon. Tunde Tijani as Chairman of the PDP Osun State Caretaker Committee.
” Following the recent developments in the Osun State Chapter of our great Party, the National Working Committee (NWC), after careful deliberations and extensive consultations, on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and pursuant to Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended), has dissolved the entire PDP Osun State Executive Committees (Ward, LGA and State) with immediate effect.
” In its place the NWC, on behalf of NEC has approved the appointment of Osun State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Party in the State for a period of three (3) months effective from today Thursday, January 15, 2026 and to function pursuant to Section 24(2) of the PDP Constitution (as amended)”, the statement read.
The party urged all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of Osun PDP to remain united and focused on the task ahead.
