Lagos HoS Urges Public Servants to Harness AI, Digitalization for Inclusive Governance
Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, has called on public servants to utilize the power of digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to foaster inclusive governance and increase public satisfaction.
He made this call at a public lecture and celebration of outstanding officers, themed “Transforming Public Service Delivery: Leveraging Digitalization, Artificial Intelligence, and Inclusive Governance,” in commemoration of the ongoing 2025 Public Service Week.
Agoro stressed the importance of being updated about global trends and applying newly acquired skills and qualifications to improve public service delivery, urging public servants to seize the opportunities presented by positive change to improve efficiency and overall Public Service delivery.
He added, “Digitalization, together with Artificial Intelligence, now sets the standard upon which every business or institution is measured,”
In a related development, Agoro presented awards to 289 outstanding officers in the State, urging them not to rest on their laurels but to continue to discharge their duties diligently and efficiently.
He also asked public servants to leverage on the opportunity to recommit themselves to staying abreast of global trends in digitalization and artificial intelligence, while fostering inclusive governance that will transform Public Service delivery.
The Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Mrs. Sunkanmi Oyegbola, noted that the awardees were recognised for their dedication, selflessness, and commitment to effective service delivery.
