LASRERA Opens Satellite Office In Surulere To Bring Real Estate Regulation Closer To Residents

The Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA) has inaugurated its new Satellite Office in Surulere, Lagos.
The office, located within the premises of the Surulere Local Government Secretariat, was officially opened by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare.

Speaking at the inauguration, Odunuga-Bakare said the Surulere Satellite Office was designed to bring LASRERA’s services closer to residents and serve as a one-stop centre for real estate regulation and public engagement.

“This office will enable real estate practitioners to register their businesses seamlessly and access vital information about the sector. It will also provide a platform for resolving disputes and knotty issues arising from real estate transactions,” she stated. “Additionally, it will serve as a hub for data collection to support government policy formulation and planning in the real estate sector.”

The Special Adviser noted that the Surulere Satellite Office is part of the Lagos State Government’s broader vision to replicate LASRERA offices across all Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), ensuring that regulation, transparency, and stakeholder protection are accessible to all Lagosians, regardless of location.
Odunuga-Bakare reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating an enabling and transparent real estate sector that aligns with international best practices while safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders.
