Ekiti 2026: Oyebanji Meets Past, Serving Councillors, Reaffirms Commitment To Inclusive Governance
The governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, stating that his administration would continue to work closely with leaders at the grassroots and at other levels to consolidate development across the state.
Oyebanji made the remarks in a post on his facebook page, disclosing his meetings at the weekend with past councillors and the 177 serving councillors.
The governor stated that the meeting allowed for open and frank discussions on governance at the grassroots.
He added ” Over the weekend in Ikogosi-Ekiti, I held separate meetings with two important groups of grassroots leaders.
” I had an interactive session with the immediate past councillors from across the state. It was an opportunity to listen to their feedback, address their concerns, and discuss proposals that will further strengthen development at the grassroots. I am pleased that the dialogue ended on a positive note, with everyone leaving reassured.
” Later, I met with all 177 serving councillors from the 16 LGAs. The meeting allowed for open and frank discussions on governance at the grassroots, the progress we have made so far, and how to deepen the impact of our programmes across the state. I listened carefully to their perspectives and shared our plans to strengthen service delivery in every community.
” These engagements reflect our belief in inclusive governance, and our administration will continue to work closely with leaders at the grassroots and at other levels to consolidate development across Ekiti State”.
