Olaopa Urges Civil Servants To Embrace Continuous Learning, Lauds Walson-Jack’s Leadership

Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, has urged Nigerian civil servants to embrace continuous learning and knowledge-driven reforms.

He spoke Tuesday in Abuja at the presentation of two books by retiring Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack: Beyond the Mandate – A Memoir on Leadership and I Planted – A Memoir of Purposeful Service.

Olaopa described the books as contributions to administrative history, urging civil servants to improve institutional libraries and access to learning resources.

He praised Walson-Jack’s leadership, teamwork and commitment to strengthening the civil service.

Meanwhile, Walson-Jack said the books chronicled her career and personal experiences but did not cover her tenure as Head of Service.

She thanked President Bola Tinubu and her husband for their support, recommending the books to civil servants and others interested in public administration.
