Former France international Patrick Vieira has reportedly agreed a deal with the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) to become head coach of the Teranga Lions.
According to Malang Sané, Vieira has signed a four-year contract under an ambitious long-term project called “Patrick Vieira Vision 2030,” earning between 35 million and 45 million CFA francs monthly (about $61,600 to $79,200).
The agreement follows Vieira’s presentation of his plans for the national team, which impressed federation officials. He has reportedly been in Senegal since late July for talks.
His main targets will be reaching the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations final and qualifying for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
The project aims to strengthen Senegal’s status as a top African football nation. If confirmed, it would mark Vieira’s return to international management.
