The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has moved to strengthen the mobility of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) with the presentation of Seventy (70) tyres to the squad.
The tyres were presented on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO of the LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, by the Director of Administration, Mr. Adegbola Lewis, to the Commander of the RRS, CSP Shola Jejeloye.
Speaking during the presentation, Lewis said the intervention reflected the Fund’s commitment to ensuring that security agencies have the basic operational resources required to respond effectively to emergencies.
“The LSSTF understands that providing vehicles is only one part of strengthening security operations. Those vehicles must remain functional and available when they are needed most. This intervention is therefore about ensuring that the RRS remains mobile, responsive and ready to protect the people of Lagos”, said Lewis.
The RRS Commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye commended the Fund for its sustained partnership towards the Police unit, noting that consistent logistical support remained critical to effective policing and rapid response operations.
