Super Falcons Unveil Symbolic 10-Star Kit Ahead WAFCON 2026

The Super Falcons’ new jersey has been officially unveiled ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), celebrating Nigeria’s unrivalled dominance in African women’s football.
The striking green kit features 10 stars surrounding the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) crest, with each star representing one of Nigeria’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles.
The stars commemorate the Super Falcons’ championship triumphs from 1998 to 2024, underscoring the team’s remarkable legacy as the most successful side in the history of the competition.
Nigeria debuted the new jersey in a 2-1 international friendly victory over Tanzania on July 23, using the match as part of its final preparations for the continental tournament.
The confidence-boosting win came just days before the 2026 WAFCON kicks off in Morocco on July 26, with the Super Falcons determined to reclaim the title.
As Africa’s most successful women’s national team, the Super Falcons have won a record 10 continental championships and have consistently been among the tournament’s strongest contenders.
The jersey’s symbolic design has been warmly received by players and supporters, who see the 10 stars as a fitting tribute to Nigeria’s rich football heritage and sustained excellence.
Beyond celebrating past achievements, the new kit reflects the Super Falcons’ ambition to capture a record-extending 11th WAFCON title in Morocco and strengthen their momentum ahead of the qualification campaign for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
