Iwobi Hits Camp Early, Dismisses £200k Burglary Report As Fake

Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi, is among the early arrivals in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of Nigeria’s international friendlies against Iran and Jordan.

He has also dismissed reports that his London home was burgled at knifepoint as “fake news.”

Reports had claimed that Iwobi’s residence was attacked, with valuables worth £200,000 allegedly stolen.

However, a Super Eagles team official told SCORENigeria that the midfielder has refuted the claims.

“Alex is in camp; he’s one of three players who have arrived. Regarding the burglary story, he said nothing like that happened. He has debunked it as fake news” said the official.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to face Iran on March 27 before taking on Jordan four days later in another friendly during the international break.

Both Iran and Jordan are among the teams set to feature at the 2026 FIFA World Cup this summer.
