The National Executive Committee, NEC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has resolved that the zoning arrangement of the party would serve as framework for the party’s upcoming national convention.
This was contained in a communique of the 107th meeting of the PDP’s National Executive Committee, NEC, held in Abuja on Monday.
During the meeting, members deliberated extensively on key issues affecting the party, its organizational strength, and its future electoral engagements.
On party structure, NEC affirmed the zoning arrangement for national elective offices, stating that it aligns with the PDP’s principles of fairness, inclusiveness, and balance.
The zoning formula, it said, will guide the forthcoming National Convention.
It reads partly: “NEC noted that the sale of nomination forms for the forthcoming National Convention has commenced. All interested aspirants are advised to comply with the approved guidelines and timelines as issued by the Party.
“The zoning arrangement shall serve as the guiding framework for the forthcoming National Convention.”
Reiterating the supremacy of the party, NEC called on members to remain united, disciplined, and focused on collective interests.
