Odi-Olowo, Yaba Chairmen Grieve Osiyemi’s Passing, Celebrate His Impact

 

The Chairmen of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA and Yaba Local Council Development Area, Hon. Seyi Jakande and Hon. Bayo Adefuye, have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Bayo Osiyemi, former Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The two council bosses conveyed their condolences in separate statements personally signed on Monday.

In his tribute, Jakande described Osiyemi as a respected community leader whose influence and contributions touched many lives. He noted that Osiyemi’s service to Lagos State in various capacities would remain unforgettable.

“His legacy of dedication and service will not be forgotten. The Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA stands in solidarity with his family during this time of grief,” Jakande said.

Also mourning the late statesman, Adefuye said Osiyemi’s death was a great loss to Lagos, describing him as a revered elder, mentor, and father figure whose wisdom and integrity shaped numerous lives across the state.

According to Adefuye, Prince Osiyemi lived “a life of honour — calm in counsel, principled in action, and deeply committed to the progress of our community.”

He added that Osiyemi’s legacy of leadership and service would continue to inspire future generations.
