Oyetola Constitutes Committee To Review Operations Of Boat Operators

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has set up a Special Committee to review the operations of commercial boat operators in coastal and inland waterways to address incessant boat mishaps across the country.
During a meeting with heads of agencies in Abuja on Thursday, the Minister noted that it has become a matter of urgent concern, hence the need to proffer solutions to reduce it to the barest minimum.
The committee has 21 days to complete the assignment and submit a comprehensive report to the Ministry.
The committee has the Managing Director of National Inland Waterways (NIWA), Bola Oyebamiji, as Chairman.
Other members are: Mr. D. Mobereola, DG-NIMASA, Prof. S. Abiodun, Executive Director NIOMR, Dr. A.M Sule, Executive Director NIFFR, Dr. B.D. Olaosebikan, P-FCFFT, Prof. B. Fakinlede, TA-HM-FMMBE, and Mr. A. Offie, DD-IWW, to serve as committee Secretary.
