PHOTOS: NNPCL Deploys Over 100 Trucks To Dangote Refinery’s Fuel Loading Gantry
Ahead of the Dangote Refinery’s scheduled petrol loading on Sunday, September 15, 2024, Nigeriian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has deployed over 100 trucks to the refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
NNPCL made this known on its facebook page on Saturday afternoon.
The post read in part, “In preparation for the Dangote Refinery’s scheduled petrol loading on Sunday, September 15, 2024, NNPC Ltd. has been mobilizing trucks to the refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki.
“As of Saturday afternoon, NNPC Ltd. had deployed over 100 trucks, with hundreds more en route”.
Spokesman for NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye, on his X handle, said that by the end of today (Saturday) at least 300 trucks will be stationed at the refinery’s fuel loading gantry.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Committee on the Sale of Crude Oil and Refined Products had confirmed that petrol lifting from the Dangote Refinery will begin on Sunday.
The Committee also revealed that the refinery will exclusively sell petrol to the NNPCL.
Zacch Adedeji, a committee member and Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), added that starting October 1, the NNPCL will sell crude oil to the Dangote Refinery at a rate of 385,000 barrels per day, with payments made in Naira.
The refinery will be permitted to sell diesel to other buyers, but NNPCL will be the only purchaser of petrol from the facility.
