President Bola Tinubu departed Lagos for Accra, Ghana to attend the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama.
The president left Lagos through the presidential wing of Murtale Muhammad International Airport at about 4:10 pm on Monday.
The trip follows an invitation from Mahama, who met with President Tinubu in Abuja last month.
The President-elect Mahama is to be sworn in on January 7.
Mahama, who previously served as Ghana’s 12th president from 2011 to 2017, was reelected in December 2024 and will succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo, whose tenure ends in 2025.
