NITDA, NACCIMA Sign MoU To Boost Digital Economy

..move to accelerate Nigeria’s digital economy
On the sidelines of GITEX Nigeria, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate Nigeria’s digital transformation, foster innovation and empower businesses.
NITDA Director-General, Kashifu Inuwa, and NACCIMA Director-General, Engr. Olusola Obadimu, signed the agreement, which focuses on developing a collaborative digital ecosystem, supporting MSME digital transformation, promoting technology adoption and building business capacity.
The partnership will also support the Digital Nigeria International Conference (DNICE) 2026 and future editions, while strengthening collaboration among government, businesses, technology firms, academia, investors and development partners.
Obadimu described the agreement as timely, noting that digital transformation is essential for businesses to remain competitive globally.
“We are going to hit the ground running… Nigerians will begin to see things happen almost instantaneously,” he said.
He added that the partnership would support Nigeria’s youthful population and help young innovators compete globally.
