Irewolede CDA Empowers 69 With Vocational Skills

The Irewolede Community Development Association (CDA), Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, has graduated 69 participants from its one-month Skills Acquisition Programme.
The programme, held from August 3 to September 5, 2026, trained participants in Culinary, Image Making, Cosmetics, Beauty and Fabrication.
Courses included catering, photography, videography, soap making, tie-dye, hair styling, make-up, welding and electrical works.
At the graduation ceremony, held at the Irewolede CDA Secretariat in Igbogbo area of Lagos State, graduates displayed pastries, drinks, wigs, creams and other products. They also entertained guests with performances.
Certificates were presented to the 69 graduates, while facilitators were recognised.
In his remarks, the CDA Chairman, Abayomi Adeniji, said the programme aimed to promote employment, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
He urged graduates to apply their skills and called for support from government agencies, private organisations, NGOs and financial institutions through equipment, funding and mentorship.
The CDA said it would improve future editions with better equipment, advanced courses and monitoring.
