NFF Appoints Abdulrahaman As NPFL Chief Operating Officer

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Friday appointed Dr Ayo Abdulrahaman as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The appointment came as the new NPFL season kicked off with a star match between Nigeria’s CAF Confederation Cup representatives, Shooting Stars, and newly promoted Inter Lagos FC at the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan.

Abdulrahaman, who holds a doctorate degree in sports administration, brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of football organisation and administration to the role, having worked across various leagues.

According to the NFF’s interim General Secretary, Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, the appointment followed a directive issued on Thursday, August 27, to all board members and chief executive officers of the various leagues, as well as chief operating officers who are not members of NFF staff, to vacate their positions.

Abdulrahaman’s appointment takes immediate effect.
