Lagos Moves To Boost Tourism, Hospitality Partnership

 

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has received a delegation from The Festival Hotel, Conference Centre & Spa to explore collaboration and strengthen partnerships in the state’s tourism and hospitality sector.

Receiving the delegation, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to partnering with private operators to promote tourism and improve hospitality services.

She stressed the importance of public-private collaboration in raising service standards, positioning Lagos as a leading tourism destination, and driving digital innovation in the sector.

Oyekan-Ismaila also urged the hotel to maintain high standards and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Speaking for the hotel, General Manager Mr. Olusola Fasoro said the visit sought the Ministry’s support and partnership to enhance the hotel’s operations and visibility.

He described The Festival Hotel as a four-star facility and expressed readiness to contribute to Lagos’ tourism growth, seeking further guidance to align with the state’s tourism agenda.

The meeting was attended by senior Ministry officials, including the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Taoreed Dosomu, and the Director of the Hotel Licensing Department, Mr. Sheriff Azeez.
