Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle affecting all special advisers, advisers, senior special assistants and special assistants.
Also affected by the reshuffle are the deputy chief of staff and the principal private secretary to the governor.
The development was announced in a statement issued on Monday in Ilorin by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Agboola.
According to the statement, the reshuffle is aimed at creating opportunities for more party members to serve in government while injecting fresh energy into the administration.
The governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing appointees for what he described as their invaluable service to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He also directed all affected officials to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
