Following the conclusion of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections, the APC Lagos State Women Leader, Alhaja Rofiat Iyabosola Eletu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and four female candidates who emerged victorious in the race for tickets into the Lagos State House of Assembly (LSHA).
In a statement issued by her media office, Alhaja Eletu congratulated President Tinubu for securing the APC presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 General Election, saying his emergence reflected the confidence Nigerians and party members continue to place in his leadership.
Turning to the APC primaries for Lagos Assembly, Alhaja Eletu celebrated the emergence of Princess Omolara Oyekan-Olumegbon (Lagos Island I), Mojisola Lasbat Miranda (Apapa I), Barr. Damilola Ayinde Marshal (Surulere 2) and Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare (Surulere I) as APC flagbearers.
Eletu described Oyekan-Olumegbon’s victory as a reflection of her integrity, dedication, and commitment to community development. She added that the achievement would inspire more women across Lagos State to pursue purposeful leadership and public service.
She also praised the current Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Miranda, for her contributions to governance and legislative excellence, noting her role in promoting stability and harmony within the Assembly.
The APC Women Leader further commended Barr. Damilola Ayinde Marshal, saying her legal background and leadership qualities position her to deliver effective representation for her constituents.
Similarly, Odunuga-Bakare was praised for her professional achievements and grassroots engagement. Eletu assured her of the continued support of the APC women’s wing ahead of the general elections.
She urged party members and residents of Lagos State to support the four candidates, stressing that their emergence highlights the APC’s commitment to women’s inclusion in leadership and decision-making.
