The second leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Guinea has been postponed by 24 hours.
The encounter, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 30, will now be played on Sunday, May 31, following a decision by the organisers.
The match is set to kick off at 4:00 p.m. at the Remo Stars Stadium.
Nigeria’s Flamingos head into the return leg in a strong position after thrashing Guinea 5-0 in the first leg played in Abidjan.
With the commanding first-leg advantage, the Nigerian side are overwhelming favourites to progress to the next round of the qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Although no official reason has been given for the postponement, the extra day will provide the Flamingos with additional time to prepare as they aim to seal qualification on home soil.
