Super Eagles Open Camp March 24 in Turkey Ahead Of Crucial AFCON 2027 Build-Up

Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, will open camp on March 24, 2026, in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of a four-nation invitational tournament initially scheduled to be held in Jordan.

The team is expected to play two international friendly matches during the competition, facing Iran on Friday, March 27, before taking on hosts Jordan on Tuesday, March 31.

Both fixtures will now take place in Antalya following the relocation of the tournament from Jordan due to ongoing military tensions in parts of the Middle East.

The change in venue was prompted by security concerns affecting the originally designated stadiums in Amman.

The Super Eagles will begin their campaign against Iran at 4:00 p.m. local time and will conclude their fixtures against Jordan with an 8:00 p.m. kickoff.

The tournament is expected to provide Nigeria with valuable competitive preparation ahead of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, as the team continues to build cohesion and assess squad depth.

Nigeria last featured in competitive action at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they faced Egypt in the third-place playoff.
