Mushin LG Boss Urges Residents to Shun Quack Clinics, Obey HEFAMAA Rules

The Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Tunbosun  Aruwe, on Thursday urged residents to strictly comply with HEFAMAA’s regulations and avoid unauthorized health facilities.

Aruwe made the appeal when he received officials of the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) who came to enlighten residents of Mushin on the importance of patronizing certified medical practitioners and complying with HEFAMAA’s directives for quality healthcare delivery within the community.

The Chairman appealed to the Director of Statistics and representative of the Permanent Secretary, HEFAMAA, Olorunfemi Olonire, to extend more of the agency’s outreaches to the council area.

Aruwe commended HEFAMAA for its consistent surveillance efforts, encouraging residents to report any health facility providing substandard or inadequate services through the agency’s official channels.

In his remarks, Olonire explained that residents could verify the registration status of any hospital or laboratory using the provided QR code or by visiting HEFAMAA’s social media platforms.

The Chief Nutrition Officer at HEFAMAA, Mr. Richard Olusanya, noted the importance of registration and compliance among both public and private health facilities, including laboratories.

He also called on Community Development Associations (CDAs) to actively participate in future outreaches, to strengthen community health standards.
