…vows to deliver Tinubu, Hamzat
Lagos State Governor and Chairman of the PBAT/HOK Campaign Council, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to unite and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying President Bola Tinubu has demonstrated leadership capacity in his three years in office.
Sanwo-Olu spoke at the ongoing Lagos APC Campaign Council retreat held at Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos.
He said the reforms introduced by Tinubu had begun to transform the economy, urging party members to communicate the benefits of the policies to Nigerians.
The governor charged party faithful to reach out to their family members, friends and undecided voters to secure victory for the APC at the polls.
Sanwo-Olu also expressed confidence in Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, describing him as a loyal deputy who deserved to be rewarded for his commitment to the party.
He passed a vote of confidence in Hamzat, stressing that ensuring the governorship candidate’s victory in 2027 was his political responsibility.
“I don’t regret working with Femi since 2019. He has been a loyal deputy throughout our eight-year journey. I have the responsibility to ensure his victory at the polls,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The governor further urged party members to intensify their grassroots campaigns and set aside past grievances, emphasising the need for unity and collective commitment to the party’s success in 2027.
