Obafemi Saheed Highlights Tinubu’s Economic Gains, Calls On Nigerians To Back President

The lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Obafemi Saheed, has assured constituents of facilitating more state projects while canvassing support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking at the 10th Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting held on Thursday in Ketu-Alapere, Saheed said the economic reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration are already yielding results and urged Nigerians to sustain their support.

According to him, the growth in Nigeria’s foreign reserves compared to pre-Tinubu levels reflects the positive impact of the reforms. He added that revenues from taxes are being judiciously utilised to execute capital projects across the country at both federal and state levels.

Highlighting the federal government’s interventions, Saheed noted that President Tinubu introduced the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) to assist students and parents with tuition financing. He also encouraged youths to acquire vocational skills, saying there is an international market for such skills, particularly in Japan, which could benefit young people in the constituency.

On his own legislative interventions, Saheed disclosed that he has facilitated road projects across the two LCDAs he represents. While some have been completed, others are ongoing.

“A mini stadium has been built in our constituency to enhance the sporting skills of our youths,” he said. “I have also facilitated employment opportunities for young people in the state. More projects are on the way to Agboyi-Ketu and Ikosi/Isheri LCDAs.”

Attendees at the stakeholders’ meeting—including the National Youth Council of Nigeria (Agboyi-Ketu Chapter), traditional rulers, market leaders, religious bodies, and ethnic groups—praised the lawmaker for his efforts and called for further interventions, especially in road infrastructure.
