The Falconets of Nigeria, the only African team to reach the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, will on Thursday face England for a place in the quarter-finals.
Nigeria finished runners-up in Group F with four points, edging China on goal difference to secure a spot in the knockout stage.
England also finished second in their group, which featured Brazil, Canada and Tanzania.
The Young Lionesses earned four points from three matches, thrashing Tanzania 5-1, drawing 1-1 with Canada and losing 2-1 to group winners Brazil.
The Round of 16 clash is scheduled for Thursday and will kick off at 3 p.m.
