The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his responsive leadership and nationalistic disposition in assenting to the Bill establishing the Federal University of Technology, Ilaro (FUTI), and facilitating its publication in the official gazette.
Oba Olugbenle described the official gazette of the Bill establishing the FUTI as a “historic development” and a new dawn for Yewaland, Ogun West and Ogun State at large.
In a statement on his official facebook page, the Yewaland Paramount ruler lauded Senator Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) for his unrelenting effort and strategic advocacy towards the actualisation of the long-desired vision concerning FUTI.
He said that the gazette formalising the conversion of Federal Polytechnic Ilaro to FUTI signalled a new dawn for the educational and socio-economic advancement of Yewaland, Ogun West and indeed, Ogun State.
Olu of Ilaro said, “That the gazette comes in the month of Senator Adeola’s birthday makes it even more symbolic. FUTI’s gazette is the best birthday gift to generations of Ogun West sons and daughters who now have a Federal University to call their own.
“We equally extend heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his responsive leadership and nationalistic disposition in assenting to the Bill and facilitating its publication in the official gazette.
“This milestone reflects what is possible when a dedicated leader takes action, our royal institutions lend their voice, and the people stand together with hope and determination.
