Flamingos Draw Ghana, Togo, Niger Republic In WAFU B

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have been drawn in Group B of the 2026 WAFU B U-17 Championship scheduled to take place in Burkina Faso.
The five-time FIFA U-17 World Cup champions will face Niger Republic and Côte d’Ivoire in the group stage of the regional tournament.
Hosts Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo and Benin make up Group A.
The WAFU B U-17 Championship is scheduled to hold from October 10 to 23, 2026, in Burkina Faso, with participating teams set to battle for regional supremacy and qualification opportunities.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s U-17 girls, the Flamingos, have been drawn in Group B alongside Ghana, Togo and Niger Republic for the 2026 WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup in Côte d’Ivoire.
The groups for the regional tournament were unveiled on Thursday at a press conference held at the Stade du 04 Août.
The Flamingos will face familiar West African opponents Ghana and Togo, while Niger Republic completes the four-team Group B.
Hosts Côte d’Ivoire were drawn in Group A alongside Burkina Faso and Benin.
The 2026 WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup is scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire from September 15 to 28.
