..urges media to uphold his legacy
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, has joined the Nigerian media community in mourning the death of The Eagle Online publisher, Dotun Oladipo.
Oladipo, 56, died on Tuesday, August 25, after a brief illness.
In a condolence statement by Tayo Oyeshina, his Special Adviser on Media, Research and Documentation, Obasa described his death as shocking and praised him as a professional, ethical and thoroughbred journalist who offered valuable insights and fair reportage of legislative activities.
He urged the media to uphold Oladipo’s legacy of professionalism, diligence, enterprise and originality while working to sanitise the media space.
Obasa condoled with Oladipo’s family, The Eagle Online, the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers and the Nigerian media community, praying that Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest.
