Larin made an immediate impact after coming off the bench, finding the net just over two minutes after his introduction. His goal sparked jubilant celebrations among the Canadian supporters and secured a valuable point for Jesse Marsch’s team.
The contest remained evenly balanced throughout, with both sides creating chances. Canada enjoyed more possession and registered slightly more shots on target, while Bosnia and Herzegovina remained a constant threat on the counterattack.
Canada midfielder Ismaël Koné was among the standout performers. The dynamic midfielder controlled the tempo of the game, completed the most passes and was deservedly named Player of the Match.
The result leaves Canada well placed in Group B ahead of their next fixture against Qatar in Vancouver on Thursday. A victory could significantly boost their chances of progressing to the knockout stage.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Switzerland in their second group match in California. The draw also extended the Europeans’ unbeaten run to nine matches in all competitions.
