Edo Tourism Agency Partners Miss Nigeria Queen To Boost Culture

The Edo State Tourism Agency has expressed its readiness to partner with the 45th Miss Nigeria Queen, Doris Ogah, in promoting the cultural heritage and tourism potential of Edo State.
The Director General of the agency, Vivian Elabor, made this known when the beauty queen paid a courtesy visit to the agency in Benin City.
Speaking during the visit, Lady Elabor expressed delight at hosting Miss Ogah, who hails from Edo North Senatorial District, describing her as a worthy ambassador of Edo State.
She encouraged the beauty queen to continue projecting the state positively through her programmes and advocacy initiatives, assuring her of the agency’s willingness to collaborate with the Miss Nigeria Organisation in advancing the SHINE agenda of the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
According to the Director General, Edo State is steadily positioning itself as one of Nigeria’s leading tourist destinations through initiatives aimed at showcasing the culture, heritage and hospitality of the Edo people.
She added that partnerships with influential personalities such as the Miss Nigeria Queen would further strengthen efforts to promote tourism and attract greater attention to the state’s tourism assets.
Also speaking during the visit, the Executive Business Manager of the Miss Nigeria Organisation, Mercy Umoren, said the impact of the pageant extends beyond the reign of a queen, noting that the organisation continues to support former queens in carrying out impactful projects after their tenure.
On her part, Miss Doris Ogah disclosed that she runs the Green Girl Foundation, expressing her readiness to partner with the Edo State Tourism Agency on advocacy programmes aimed at promoting tourism, culture and the positive image of Edo State.
