The Chairmen of the 16 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), and the All Progressives Congress (APC) LGA chairmen in Lagos East Senatorial District have unanimously endorsed the Senator representing Lagos East, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, for another term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement, which underscores the growing confidence in Senator Abiru’s leadership and performance, was conveyed during a meeting of council chairmen and 16 APC LGA chairmen in the senatorial district.
Speaking on behalf of the council chairmen, Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of Conference 57, praised Senator Abiru for what he described as exemplary representation, and consistent delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Lagos East.
Reacting to the endorsement, Abiru explained that he was deeply humbled by the overwhelming show of confidence and support from the Council Chairmen and the party chairmen.
He added ” This endorsement is not just for me, it is a recognition of what we have collectively achieved for our people through purposeful collaboration, responsive representation, and people centred leadership.
“From infrastructure development to education support, youth empowerment, healthcare interventions, economic support initiatives, and community development projects across our 98 wards, we have continued to work together in the interest of Lagos East.
” I remain fully committed to serving with integrity, competence, and renewed dedication to the progress of our district and the wellbeing of our people.
“As we move forward, I urge all party leaders and stakeholders to remain united and committed to the continued success of our great party at all levels, starting with the re election of our leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
