Sporting Lagos, Rivals Set For Super Four Showdown

The 2025–2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four tournament will kick off on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.

All four participating teams—Sporting Lagos, Inter Lagos, Doma United, and Ranchers Bees—have already secured promotion to next season’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

However, the Super Four will determine the overall champion of the second-tier league.

Action begins on Monday with an exciting opener as Sporting Lagos face Ranchers Bees at 2 p.m.

This will be followed by another clash later in the day, with Doma United taking on Inter Lagos at 4 p.m.

The tournament will see the four teams compete for the ₦10 million winner’s prize, while each club is guaranteed ₦2 million as participation fees.

Speaking ahead of the competition, the CEO of Toptier Sports Management Limited, Chichi Nwoko, assured stakeholders that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and memorable tournament.

“We have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that all modalities are in place for a superb outing. From logistics to matchday operations, the goal is to deliver a tournament that reflects the growing standards of the league,” she said.

With promotion already secured, attention now turns to pride, prestige, and momentum heading into life in the NPFL, as Sporting Lagos and Inter Lagos aim to fly the Lagos flag. Doma United and Ranchers Bees owned by Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq will also be determined to emerge champions.
