Bayelsa State is set to host this year’s Extraordinary General Assembly of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Monday, March 23, 2026.

The assembly will be officially declared open by the governor of the State, Sen. Douye Diri, at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa.

NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), will deliver a welcome address to the plenary ahead of the business session.

During the session, Congress will deliberate on proposed amendments to the existing NFF Statutes, the NFF Electoral Code, and the Standing Orders of the General Assembly.

It will also oversee the appointment of members of the NFF Electoral Committee and the NFF Electoral Appeals Committee, as well as the appointment of the federation’s independent auditor.

Officials from global football governing body FIFA and continental body CAF are already in Nigeria to observe proceedings at the 2026 NFF Extraordinary General Assembly.
