APC Somolu Campaign Council Holds Interfaith Prayer, Inaugurates Directors

 

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Somolu Federal Constituency Campaign Council has held a Muslim and Christian interfaith prayer session for the party’s candidates and members, as well as for the peaceful conduct of the 2027 general elections.

The clerics prayed for divine guidance, wisdom and protection for the candidates and party members, while also seeking a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the elections.

The prayer session was followed by the inauguration of directors and deputy directors of various directorates of the Campaign Council as part of efforts to strengthen its structure ahead of campaign activities.

In his welcome address, the Director-General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Rotimi Olowo, appreciated party leaders, religious leaders, stakeholders and members for their support. He called for teamwork, patience and greater synergy among members to achieve the council’s objectives.

Olowo described the inauguration as an important step towards strengthening the campaign structure and urged members to remain committed to the interests of the APC and Somolu Federal Constituency.

The Vice Director-General of the Lagos East Senatorial District APC Campaign Council, Alhaji Bode Oyedele, commended the peaceful political atmosphere in Somolu. He also urged party members to vote for all APC candidates in Somolu Federal Constituency in the forthcoming general elections.

In his goodwill message, former Somolu Local Government Chairman, Sesan Olanrewaju, called on party members to embrace forgiveness, reconciliation and peaceful coexistence, urging them to work together for the success of the party.

The Somolu Federal Constituency Apex Leader, Pastor Oyewusi, appealed to members to support the party’s candidates and work towards its success in the forthcoming general elections. He noted that there was no longer acrimony among party stalwarts.

The APC candidate for the House of Representatives, Somolu Federal Constituency, Alabi Kolade David, and the party’s candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Somolu Constituency I, Hon. Abiodun Abimbola Orekoya, thanked party leaders and stakeholders for their support and called for continued cooperation and commitment as campaign activities progress.

The leaders and stakeholders also appealed to party supporters to vote for all APC candidates, from the presidential and governorship candidates to the Senate, House of Representatives and State Assembly candidates, in the 2027 general elections.

Among those inaugurated were the lawmaker representing Somolu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Apata, as Director of Mobilisation, with Hon. Rasak Tajudeen as Deputy Director; Hon. Gbenga Abdullahi, Director of Planning and Strategy; Ifejowo Adeyemi, Director of Special Duties and Administration; Hon. Tolu Ebun, Director of Women Affairs; Chief Mrs Fola Adekunle, Deputy Leader, Women Affairs; and Mr Kenneth Obi K.C., Director of Media and Communication.

Others include Comrade Oluwarotimi Oluyede, Deputy Director, Media and Communication; Adeola Kupoluyi, Director of Welfare; Pastor Idebi Shola, Director of Security; Adewale Oseni, Deputy Director of Security; Dr Mike Dike, Director of Non-Indigene Affairs; and Hon. Fatai Komolafe, Director of Party Affairs.
