New GOC 8 Division visits Tidibale Community, Reaffirms Commitment To Strengthen Security

 

As part of his first official engagement, the new General Officer Commanding 8 Division and Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Bemgba Paul Koughna has carried out an assessment visit to Tidibale Community in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The GOC reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety and Security of the Community.

A statement by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations 8 Division Nigerian Army and Sector 2 Operation Fansan Yamma, Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, underscored the Nigerian Army’s commitment to protecting communities and restoring normalcy.

The GOC hinted that Troops are now stationed in Tidibale to maintain a robust security presence and remain vigilant, ready to respond swiftly to any threats or emergencies.

The GOC assured that no part of the community would be left under the control of any bandit groups.

Major General Koughna further called on residents to stay alert and promptly report any suspicious activities to Security Forces.

He stated that by working together, they can collectively strengthen peace and security in their communities.

A traditional ruler in the area, Alhaji Ibrahim on behalf of Tidibale Community, expressed gratitude to the GOC for the timely visit, noting that the gesture has renewed their hope in the Nigerian Army’s efforts to secure the community and help them return to their daily lives.
