Lagos Expands Resilience Training to More Schools Across Six Education Districts

The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO), has partnered with the Ministry of Education and key stakeholders to commence the second phase of the Resilience Sensitisation Workshops for public secondary schools across the six Education Districts of the state.
The capacity-building initiative aligns with LASRO’s mission to equip Lagos youth with the resilience needed to navigate social, environmental, psychological, and economic challenges.

The sensitisation exercise kicked off with Education District II at Immaculate Heart Senior Comprehensive High School, Maryland, Ikeja, before moving to Education District III at Dolphin Senior Secondary School, Lagos Island. Sensitisation activities for the remaining districts have been scheduled accordingly.

According to the organisers, the programme is designed to strengthen the mental capacity of students while enhancing their awareness and understanding of resilience in an increasingly complex urban environment.
