Lagos APC Hails Tinubu’s Youth Empowerment Drive, Says Renewed Hope Agenda Is A Living Reality
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a political slogan but a living proof of visionary leadership built on the empowerment and inclusion of Nigerian youths.
The party’s spokesman, Seye Oladejo, stated this in a press release on Thursday, commending President Tinubu for translating his long-standing belief in the capacity of young Nigerians into practical policies that promote skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Oladejo said that for decades, President Tinubu had demonstrated unwavering faith in the “energy, intellect, and innovation” of young Nigerians, noting that the same philosophy that shaped governance in Lagos has now become the cornerstone of Nigeria’s national development agenda.
“From Lagos to Abuja, Tinubu’s political philosophy has been clear groom the young, trust their talent, and watch them transform society,” Oladejo said.
He listed several youth-focused programmes of the administration including the NELFUND Student Loan Scheme, CreditCorp, 3MTT, NITDA Talent Hunt, and the Digital Innovation Support Fund as evidence of Tinubu’s deliberate investment in youth empowerment and national productivity.
Oladejo further noted that the government’s renewed emphasis on free technical education across the country was aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and equipping young people with practical skills, describing it as “an investment in the future of Nigeria’s workforce.”
He stressed that the Renewed Hope Agenda has redefined the old notion that “the future belongs to the youth,” saying under Tinubu’s leadership, “the future is no longer tomorrow — the future is now.”
“From his cabinet appointments to policy priorities, the President has shown that youth inclusion is not an act of benevolence, but a strategy for national greatness,” he added.
Taking a swipe at the opposition, Oladejo accused rival parties of hypocrisy and insincerity, saying they failed to empower young people while in power and now resort to “shallow activism and social media propaganda.”
“The APC government is not tweeting promises; it is teaching, training, financing, and employing the youth. Every policy under the Renewed Hope Agenda carries one central objective to build a Nigeria where the youth are creators of wealth, not casualties of unemployment,” he said.
The Lagos APC spokesman described Lagos as the model for youth inclusion and political mentorship, crediting Tinubu’s legacy in the state for producing “countless young leaders who now serve at different levels of governance.”
He called on Nigerian youths to embrace the Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as “a movement that has turned rhetoric into results, and potential into performance.”
“Those who cling to outdated politics of bitterness and blame are free to stay behind,” Oladejo declared. “The rest of us are moving forward, building, creating, and leading under a President who has proven that Nigerian youths are not the leaders of tomorrow, but the champions of today.”
