Ondo Pledges To Promote Yoruba Culture, Tradition

The Ondo state government has expressed its readiness to promote the rich culture of the state and Yoruba land at large.
Commissioner for culture & tourism, Adesoji Afolabi stated this while receiving the members of the Egbe Onisese Agbaye in his office in Akure.

Afolabi assured that the ministry will not shirk its responsibility of promoting the rich culture of Ondo state and Yoruba land at large.

While explaining that no religion is superior to another, the commissioner said the ministry of culture would do its best to enlighten the public on the need to accord tradition a respect.
Meanwhile, the association had earlier appealed to the present administration in the state to declare every 20th of August a public holiday to mark IṢẸṢE day.
