Akwa Ibom governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Some governors elected on the platform of the APC were in Akwa Ibom to receive Governor Eno.
APC governors at the Akwa Ibom State Government House in Uyo include the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, Bassey Otu of Cross River State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.
Others include Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Monday Okpebholo of Edo State and Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State.
Also, the Minister of Economic Planning and Budget, Atiku Bagudu was present to receive Governor Eno.
A few days ago, Eno had said it was time for him to officially move to the APC.
