2027: Hamzat Opens Strategic Talks with GAC, Elders Ahead Of Lagos APC Primaries

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat (HOH) held a strategic meeting with members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), party leaders, and key stakeholders during a visit to elder statesman, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, in Lagos.
Notable GAC members present at the meeting included; Mutiu Are, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and Alhaji Bode Oyedele.
The meeting is part of ongoing political consultations and engagements across the state, as discussions surrounding the 2027 governorship election continue to gain traction.
Hamzat, who has in recent times maintained a strong presence in high-level stakeholder engagements, is among prominent figures being mentioned in conversations about the Lagos Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket.
Political observers argued that such consultations are a common feature of Lagos politics, where consensus-building among party leaders often plays a crucial role in determining candidates.
The latest engagement underscores the growing political activity within the state as stakeholders begin to position themselves ahead of 2027 general elections.
