German President Steinmeier Meets Tinubu In Aso Villa

 

The German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Wednesday met with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, as part of official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

WESTERN POST reports that Steinmeier was welcomed at the Villa’s Forecourt at approximately 11:06 a.m. local time.

In a ceremonial reception, Steinmeier was honored with renditions of the German and Nigerian national anthems.

He also reviewed a Guard of Honour mounted by the Presidential Brigade of Guards, followed by a 21-gun salute.

The two leaders later proceeded to President Tinubu’s office for a closed-door meeting, where discussions were expected to focus on economic collaboration, investment opportunities, and other areas of mutual interest.

WESTERN POST had reported that Steinmeier was received at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
