Heavy Security Presence As Mr Macaroni, Others Stage Memorial Walk At Lekki Tollgate For 3rd EndSARS Anniversary

There was heavy presence of police officers at the Lekki tollgate for the third anniversary of the #EndSARS protest.

The memorial walk was organised to commemorate the tollgate shooting during the nationwide #EndSARS protests of 2020.

Meanwhile, Nigerian skitmaker, Adebowale Adedeyo popularly known as Mr Macaroni, and other Nigerians stormed the Lekki Tollgate to mark the third #EndSARS anniversary.

On October 20, 2020, security operatives reportedly fired live rounds into a crowd of armless young persons who had converged on the tollgate to protest decades of police brutality. The death toll from the incident remains unclear, three years after.

At the moment, a plethora of police officers attached to the Lagos police command are at the Lekki tollgate.
